Could I really be blogging?

I don't even know where to start. Or how to figure out how much time goes by and before I know it, I am putting off blogging because I don't know where to start!!

We had a really great Christmas. It was just our family at home this year, for the first time in forever. I was really worried that I'd miss everyone so much it just wouldn't be the same. But, it was perfect. And we got together with everyone early morning anyway. The kids got just the right amount of stuff and loved everything. Deylin was such a hoot opening the gifts. He was so slow and methodical - he loved ripping the paper off. And Makayla was like lightning. She got an ipod that was in a box, in a box, in a box, etc etc. So, she thouht that she got rice krispies squares for Christmas until I got her to keep going. It was a riot. Phaedra was her regular fairy self.

Mom and Reg and all our gang went to Elaine's for supper and it was a really nice time as well. Then we spent the night and had a great visit. Next day, Dad and Gayle and Shauna came down. D&G headed to CB and Shauna stayed with us. Loved having her, she is losing a bunch of weight and really doing great.

We went out with Bern, Jeff and some of the gaelic crew for New Year's and visited Sarah and Doug just before that. Awesome night - just the best!! Andrea Beaton and Glen Graham and a bunch of others put on a CB Ceilidh for us. It was sooooooo much fun and we all had a blast. Lots of dancing and singing and good fun!

Since Jan, it seems like I have been in a state of crazy busy. First I had a year of tax stuff to do for a client. Then, a year of tax stuff for the Gaelic society, then a couple of proposals and all the details that go along with that. Plus regular life and swimming lessons and dance, etc. Mark has been away quite a bit too and it isn't much fun. I seem to cope quite well. I have all my meals made and work done, but with all the shovelling and only me to rely on for homework and EVERYTHING, it really gets tired! And I really miss "him" personally. Sometimes I get so busy, I can hardly notice. But, this trip is hitting home. He's lonesome too. I think the 2 or 2+ weeks are just long stretches for us. Doesn't seem to be so bad when it is just 4-5 days at a time.

He's back next week - yay! More catching up soon.

Know you're busy but it's so nice to read a post! Glad to hear things are going well, albeit busy. Looking forward to seeing folks next week - if I brave the trip. I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it b/c I suspect she won't be cooperative. Kids ;)
