Flying solo a-rithist - again!!

Ugh. Mark is gone again. And under circumstances that he's not happy about. Glad it will only be for a week. When he gets backs, he'll hopefully be starting a new job - which will be a 10o times better - Tha mi cinnteach, I'm certain!

Went out to Padraig's bday party on Friday with the gaelic crew and some new friends and Berna and Jeff. B & I were dd's. It was a fun night and a good time, but so hard to watch all the drunkies when you know that is what you yourself are like while drinking! A good crew though, and of course we sang gaelic milling songs at The Triangle per usual :)

On Sat, we had planned to go out to a square dance, but when the time came, we were just too zonked. Well, I was zonked and Mark was feeling the aftereffects to TOO MUCH draft. Friggin draft man - it'll kill ya!! Bottles all the way for me!!

We did have a nice dinner out while he was home. It was crazy expensive but it was a nice little treat for us from Aliant for all the crap. Doesn't make up for all the crap, but it was a really nice dinner that we wouldn't have otherwise eaten. Loved it! Mark had quail and me crabcakes to starte - both beautiful!!! He had beef tenderloin and me gnocci. I had to take half of my meal home, and could barely share the creme brulee that we had for dessert - but every tiny morsel was amazingly delicious. I wished I had had the camera.

We had a nice visit while he was home, and got a lot of work done too. When does the work ever end, and when will I afford a housekeeper?!?!?!

I think I mentioned that I had been teaching the kids classes and doing lessons at home with the little ones. Well, last night I taught a little tiny lesson at the adult class. I find I get very nervous and it isn't easy, but feels good that I gave it a try. Figured out some things I could do better and I realized I still have a lot to learn, but it wasn't a total flop :) I was super grateful to have the chance to give it a go!! Maybe I'll try something else again in the future :)

Other than that, life is carrying on as usual ... nothing too much new. I find I am always tired. Well, that is not new! I need a good dose of gumption!!

Good for you! Congrats on the teaching. I'm sure it was just fine - more than fine. Hopefully the week will fly by!
