Magic Kingdom

We were up bright and early and were in the parking lot at 8:15 - the park opens at 9 but between all of the trams, trolleys and trains you have to take to get there, we arrived right at 9. And because we were so early, there weren't as many folks there as there is in the afternoon. So, we had a plan and got fastpasses and headed right to fantasy land to meet Ariel. Phaedra was just in her glory. She was so excited. And Makayla actually rode space mountain!! She is really nervous of rides. Totally different than P. For her - the bigger the better and again and again. So, we rode the few roller coasters and did all there was to do. The longest line we waited in was 20 minutes!!!

We had packed a lunch and the kids ate and were happy and didn't fight or cry or anything. No one got any blisters and no one complained. It was a perfect, beautiful day. It was hot and lovely, but not deathly hot. That was good.

We didn't see any of the parades, but we did meet Belle at story time, and we also met her again later in her ball gown with Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. So Phaedra was just beyond excited. I don't know what we have for pics as one camera didn't charge so was dead, and the other has a broken display thing and no eyepiece, so you just have to guess what you are taking a photo of. I think they came out better than I thought for what I saw so far.

Boy, if all Disney days could be like this one!!

Big fun - great day - highlights: Mickey's train, meeting the princesses, riding Goofy's roller coaster in Toontown and riding the Railroad roller coaster. See Mickey's Philharmagic, fun 3D movie with "extras".

But man - what a long day!!! We got back to the van at 11 pm and headed back to the trailer. The fireworks were amazing and P fell asleep right after that. She loved all of the fireworks and so did M. Tinkerbell flew right out of the castle and across an "invisible" zip line, so it was really something special to see. Quite thrilling for the little ones!!!

Deylin stayed home with the folks here. And we felt so guilty. P kept saying, "Deylin would have loved that - he should be here!" And Makayla missed him and said, "Can we buy this for buddy? D would love this car!" etc etc. And us too! There are parts that he really would have loved, but he just never could have done such a long day and at such a pace! Next time!!
