Well, what a great time we had celebrating. Part of me would love to be at an Irish pub, but it is sooooo crowded, that I hate to go out. I'm getting old :) So, we went to the O'Whitty's pub with great traditional food. It was all outstanding. I loved it. And loved having a little taste of Ireland. Even if I didn't have high hopes about the Guiness beef - hehehe.
We were busy tiling the next day, so we couldn't drink much, and had to drive home too. Bugger. And I had such a bad headache. Around the same time every cycle now, I am getting killer headaches. I can't figure it out, and I hate it. i might have big plans and when I get a headache like that, I have to go to bed. Advil didn't help. I had it for three days and a hint of it on the fourth. I'm great now - thank god! I hope that doesn't happen next month. If it does, I'm really going to have to try to figure something out. I'd love to get to see Heidi and get to some physio appts, just doesn't seem to be any time!
So, we're tiling the basement. Has to be tile in the common area due to the woodstove, so we're carrying it into the bathroom and the laundry room as well. It is going to be hard and cold, but suits the stove and the budget. I hope I picked an okay tile. It certainly wasn't my fav, but they were a buck per, so that worked. Really I hope the next people like it!! I am excited to paint. I have some colours picked out that I really love. I hope they turn out okay.
Oh yeah, Mark's dad had his first time babysitting solo when we went to Happy Feet. I was so appreciative of him coming over. I was really glad to get P to something special.
So, last night, we grouted. I am not sure that I love the colour, but it was the best of the worst. I gotta say I was a bit worried about whether or not we could actually get it done and get it to look good. It isn't expert. I can tell the mistakes. Adn some tiles are just a hair taller than others. I think you have to be really consistent with the mortar. Anyway, it still looks pretty decent. And I got really good at tile cutting. A friend lent us some tools, so that was a super bonus!! Didn't have to rent the awful wet saw.
I guess that's all my news. Oh no it isn't.
Last night, Mark and I and amber and Chris went out with the other half of the matchmakers Catherine and her hubby Lawrence. It was a nice time out with them even if the food sucked. I don't think I'll go back there, it's always disappointing. I used to love it, but the last bunch of times it's been bad. And I almost gag at the smell of the brewery when I walk in. I'm talking about Brewdabaker's by the way .....
Anyway, now that's all my news - I think. I've gotten a semi-positive response from one of the rec centres about doing a program there for youth, so that is good. I need to try to make some $$..
I'm looking forward to having the girls over this weekend. I hope we'll have a lot of fun and get a lot done!!! Have lots to do this week, so I better go get at some of it!
Bye for now, have a great Tuesday. Today is Tues right?

Ug...I'm exhausted! I'll have to send you daily reminders the next time you lapse from blogging. :)
