was our theme for a wkend of scrapping and it was a huge success - I think - at least it seemed to be.
Everyone brought their pillow and although it wasn't the Ritz accommodations, it wasn't too bad and everyone seemed more than happy with it. The company was great. Everyone brought one dish and we had great food all wkend. Really good. Too good really :)
I had Hydra - vodka water. One of them. Well, holy joe, it was like drinking 4 of any other kind of drink. I was set. It was good. We had some great laughs ... and even plugged the toilet - what is with that and scrapbooking?!?!?! I think Amber was just trying to get Chris over here. Cause after I fixed the toilet and didn't need him, she had forgotten her stuff at his place so he had to come over anyway! :) they are so in love. We teased her a lot and are all really happy for her.
The girls were great sports and even let me dress them up in sarongs for our fiesta. Wish we had sombreros! maybe next time.
I got quite a bit done on my album. And I can't believe how extremely easy it was to keep the house clean. It took only about 30 mins per day!! Amazing!! And it was so nice to actually get to eat food when it was ready, not after I spent 10 minutes cutting up kids food and another 30 feeding them, then I don't even feel like eating my own supper which is usually cold by then anyway.
B made a great bbq chicken dish that I want the recipe for - hint hint! I even think the kids would like that one.
It went really well, and I'm lucky to have such a great bunch of gals in my life. Hope we'll get to do it again soon.
It has been freezing out, but so spring like in other ways. I hope to get out caching soon!!
makayla went for lung tests today. She did well, but after ventolin, she did even better. So, "proves" that she has asthma, but seems to be doing better than she ever did, so am really happy about that. I'm hoping she'll grow out of it. She tested positive for grass allergy, so the dr. thinks the worst is coming in spring/summer and with sports, but we'll see. I place little, almost nil actually, faith in the prick tests for allergies. I am not allergic to all the fruits I can't eat according to them ... so, anyway, I need to get myself back to see Heidi. Oh if only they added another day to the week. How about Needsday. That'd be a good one!!
Hope you all are hanging in there and all the sicknesses disappear soon. We're all great here, knock on wood!
The baby figured out how to wave/say bye and blow kisses so he does it ALL the time now. And he can get his pjs off and does so eveytime you put him to bed. We have to start putting everything on backwards from now on!! He's a busy boy!

Sounds like a lot of fun! What a great weekend!
Good news - to some degree anyway, about M's asthma. I'm sooo hoping B is going to outgrow it! Not confident but hopeful!
Toe cute about your little man. He's growing up so fast! Can't wait to see em all again. Hopefully I'll get to this weekend!
Great to hear about M's report. Hopefully she'll get better and better with time.
So funny about little D. What a cutie!!
And as requested, get your pens our for the recipe below.
BBQ CHICKEN CASSEROLE
INGREDIENTS
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 broiler/fryer chicken (3 to 4 pounds), cut up (used BL-SL breasts)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup thinly sliced celery
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (16 ounce) package frozen corn, thawed
DIRECTIONS
Place flour in a large resealable plastic bag. Add chicken, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. In a large skillet, brown the chicken in oil; transfer to an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish.
Drain skillet, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings. In the drippings, saute onion, green pepper and celery until tender. In a bowl, combine the ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; add to vegetables. Bring to a boil. Pour over the chicken.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with corn. Bake 18-20 minutes longer or until chicken juices run clear and corn is tender.
Yum, I'm trying that tomorrow with the chicken I have in the freezer...last of last years :)
