Weekend Report

Well, the van is wrecked, and I've already said goodbye and don't even miss it. Mark went to the junkyard and got all of our stuff out of it. He didn't ask, just took it and signed the van over to them. Now, our driveway looks a little less like a junkyard!! The trailer hitch was wrecked too so we couldn't get it, but hopefully we'll get one before summer.

We had an easy, relaxing weekend and it was really nice. We picked out tile for the basement downstairs so I hope that we can get that done soon. It'll be nice to have that "ticked" off the list!

The storm didn't turn out to be too much of anything, enough to prevent skating but not enough for a snowman or sledding. I'm hoping that we get at least one good dump to do that .. maybe over March Break, that would be good timing :)

I didn't get to see The Secret speaker on Friday, the tix were just too much, and I couldn't get a buddy to make it cheap, so Bern filled me in. Sounded like a great session and a super speaker. Sorry I missed it, but I've been filled in and I'll get a lot from the DVD and book I'm sure.

On Saturday, I wasted a whole day doing very little. But, it was kind of nice to be with the kids and have a really slow turtle pace around the house. That doesn't happen very often at all!!

That evening, Bern and I went to a party that she invited me to for a bday of a lady that she met at Curves. It wasn't really what I had expected, but it was a nice time. We sang karaoke and visited and had some nice snacks. And good company. That's always nice. And we had a good time singing .. even if we didn't know all the songs we thought we did :) A great variety of music, I think that's what made it so good. The host had a beautiful home - absolutely gorgeous. Old and filled with antiques and mermaids. I could have moved in! And I got to see a little tiny baby. It is amazing what kind of twinges you get when you see them - even though I don't want to own any more of my own! But, it was nice to hold and cuddle the little babe and he fell asleep in my arms. Dreamy!

While we were there, Jeff and Emma came here to hang out with the rest of the gang and they spent the night. Next day, we visited and played and did some scrapbooking. I think I am totally slower than cold molasses. It is stunning really. I am too easily distracted I think that is what it is. I am glad to have a place where I can set up and leave it set up though, that is really nice to have!

That's about all of the news that's going on here ... hope you all had a good weekend. I did and it was good as I am looking toward a super busy week. Catch you later!

Oh - that baby is building train tracks like crazy and totally stunning me. And he has even been reading some books with me - he'll never do that - he is growing up!!

Thank you sooo much for having us over on the weekend. My apologies for E's sooky behaviour but I'm sure you understand. :) I can't believe how much D looks like a little boy. Oh, and E had so much fun with P. She kept saying all 3 kids names on the ride home. :)

Sounds like a fun weekend! The boys were great helpers! And the littlest boy sure is growing up! Our next pile of clothes is growing at our place too :)
