Went to the Vines yet again and was turned away. I think this makes it like 5 times now that I have been there and it's been closed, or full or closed early or something. Geez. Tried to take Jenn there, but we went to Boston Pizza instead which had super Pad Thai!! Loved it. Enough for supper and lunch the next day.
Had a nice visit with her. Didn't do much of anything. Had a few drinks each night and lots of great chats. Was really nice to see her. Next time though, we're going to make plans to go out on the town. Maybe to the Fireside for martinis :)
We got the tree up on Sunday. After all that waiting and planning, the kids didn't even want to do it once we started?!?!?! So, Mark and I basically did it ourselves with a hint of help. Kids! Can't figure them out. Was a nice day though - got a bit more shopping done, lots more frustration. And now not finished as I took something back and now have to replace it. Groan. Should have left well enough alone!
Trying to get things sorted out for a Christmas party and a Nancy Drew party.
Seems like lots of our friends and/or extended friends are getting separated or divorced! What gives??? Feel bad for them all, but may work out to be better in the end. At least I hope. Hard when kids are involved.
Going to Curves this evening and feeling really good about it!!

Hurray!! Glad to hear you're going to Curves!! I love it so far. But I am shocked by the price. I think $50/mth is fairly reasonable but the $199 start up fee is a bit much. I am really blessed. Anyway, hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Good for you getting out to Curves. You guys are my inspiration, I've gotta get there :)
Too bad about Vines being closed. Good that you had a nice visit and meal in spite of it.
Your tree decorating sounds just like ours!! I think I did most of it.
Good luck getting the shopping, sorting etc. done. I'm glad I'm finished, the stores are CRAZY these days.
Sorry to hear about the break-ups. It does suck esp with kids but is bringing kids up in a bad or unloving relationship better just to have the two parents there? Hmmm, tough call. Sometimes I think ppl are not meant to be married for life :)
Yeah, I think the price is high. I can't go to other Curves clubs, there is no locker room, showers, fitness classes, no pool, etc. There is the circuit and that is it. So, it is a lot. I think that 50 is a lot even for Nubody's per month.
So, I'm going for the month, and then we'll see. It is just so mentally easy - and I love that. And so quick. I know that I can commit to it.
Break-ups are hard. But, I have no doubt they are the best thing in some cases. I really don't believe in staying for the kids and am so glad my parents didn't. I'm much better off for it I think. And felt love from both of them yet separately ... but didn't live in a nasty feeling house all my life.
Still sad to me though, but still hoping it works out for the best for all involved. It is hard not to give up when the going gets tough. But, worth it to try everything I think.
