Dublin Monday November 20

Today we slept in. Well, Makayla did and I waited for her. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Figured she needed it and I'd be better off if she had it. In the end, we regretted it as we could have done so much more than what we did. But, we really enjoyed what we did.

Things we noticed. Dublin is quite beautiful and extremely busy. All the kids wear uniforms to school. Mostly plaid. Most schools are segregated by sex. Things in Dublin are really expensive. Everything is the same price or more in Euros and then you have to convert the prices by 1.5 .... gas was 1.19 euro!! People, the Irish people, are extra specially, super duper friendly and go out of their way to help and chat and smile. There are no crocs in Dublin :)

So, today Makayla and I wandered around. Lots of outdoor "malls" as she calls them. Walking streets with loads and loads of shopping. Saw a few familiar chains, but not much. We bought a few souvenirs and got a bus pass for the Dublin Tour so we could save our feet a bit over the next few coming days.

Then we met Mark for supper and headed back to the hotel after that. Talked to the folks back home, and that was about it! Pretty uneventful for a day in Dublin.

It is a lot colder here than I thought it would be. We are freezing our patooties off!!!
