THANK YOU UNIVERSE!!
And thank you Berna! We got free tickets to go see Charlotte's Web, so I took Makayla, Mya and Phaedra. They were great! The movie was great! And they loved it and they were all really good listeners. After that, we went to Mark's work Christmas party.
At the last minute, mom offered to babysit Deylin, who we were planning to take with. So, we took her offer and left him home. I love the little guy, but gee what a diff not having him there. We really got to interact with the kids and enjoy the day.
It was a nice party with lots of activities and Santa. The "deadest" quietest, least friendly Santa I've ever seen - but he had gifts!!! So, they were happy.
When we got home, Ivetta was also here so I coaxed them into singing some carols with us. That was fun and really got us in the spirit.
I can't remember what we did on Sat night. Man, I AM getting old!
On Sunday, we got our decorations out. MUCH much later than I had wanted to, but earlier than last year.... so I guess that is good. Makayla visited Troy and went to a movie.
I cleaned and sorted and organized like mad and made some supper and some homemade soup. Nobody likes it but me :( Oh well, I'll eat it! Makayla didn't get to try it yet, and she may like it. Fingers crossed!
Bern and Jeff and Emma came over in the afternoon and cooked the other part of supper - parm chicken - vg!! Emma is a doll, had fun visiting her, but I think she might have been scared of P although P was just being sweet. They all had a bath and went to bed pretty good.
Bern and I worked on our ornaments and cards and listened to tunes. Really nice visit and evening! I finally got all the cards done and the pics in. They could be better - but they'll have to do. That's something else I've noticed as I'm getting older. My "perfectionism" is all by gone!!
Anyway, feels really good to get them done and the ornaments are getting there as well. Just need a bit of white :)
Happy Christmastime!!
Oh yeah, and I got a fair bit of shopping done on Friday too. Yay!!
