So, I've gotten the kit to sew Makayla's Irish dancing dress. I decided on the kit because I just couldn't afford any other alternative. They are crazy crazy expensive!!
I spent a tiny bit of time with the gal who sold me the kit and looked over some of the information. To say the least, I am totally overwhelmed. I just hope that I can manage to get it done and still be sane at the end of it.
She said that it would take about 50 hours to complete, so I am allowing 75. I guess we'll just see. I hope to get started at it the beginning of next week. Eeeeekkkkk!

Good luck with the dress! You're good to sew, I'm sure you'll have no prob. You should look into swaps and/or second-hand. Sometimes the places that sell new have those options...just an idea. So glad M is so into the dancing!
Take it one stitch at a time. If you need a hand, I can help (although I don't have as many miles on my machine as you). :) And I'm sure Elaine could give you a hand.
