Build A Bear Workshop

Mark's nan, Mary, is a doll. We just think she is a treasure and love her to no end!

Her 85th birthday is coming up ... and she loves teddy bears.

We thought this would be the perfect outing for her www.buildabear.com . You pick a bear, pick sounds for it - she chose "I love you", stuff it, bath it, dress it, name it, create a birth certificate, and take it home in a teddy condo. It is really an experience. Much more than just buying a stuffed animal.

They get you to do a Heart Ceremony where you make a wish and little routines so your bear will always feel loved and full and smart, etc.

She loved it. The whole thing. She just couldn't believe it and was giddy with excitement and smiles. I'm so glad that we thought of it and brought her. I think it meant a lot. She mentioned several times that day that when she "goes" the bear "goes" with her (in the box). She is a hoot.
