Yikes!! It took me long enough to get there. Mark gave this to me as a present for Christmas in 2003 ... a gift certificate. Never got there.
And wanted to go with Jeannine 2 years ago, ran out of time .... but we got there this time http://www.hatfieldfarm.com/ . It was really nice. I think I am more interested in "lessons" than just riding behind a guide. And would love to go fast and feel the wind in my hair!
But, it was nice. Jeannine, Amber, Mark, Makayla, Emily and me went. The horses were beautiful and well trained. A little tame for novice rider Jeannine, but was great for us newbies. Nice and gentle. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous as I sat in my crooked saddle for the first minute. But, I got straightened out and really enjoyed my horse Oreo and the ride. Amber's horse Nemo, and Oreo kept stopping to eat bushes, but they caught right up.
All the pics are on a disposable camera, so I'll have to post them another time when I get them developed.
Best of all, Mark was on a horse named Bubba which was funny as that has sort of become his nickname. The girls were a bit nervous but got over that in thirty seconds flat. Makayla has already set herself up to go to riding camp next summer. I am sooooo excited for her and wished that I could have done that as a kid or even now. I'd love to learn to ride. My time will come ....

Okay...I am totally jealous. I'd love to go but am terrified to try it. How about we make a date for next summer? By then the horse won't have to carry as much of me.

Yeah, I am totally bummed that I wasted soooo much time. I'll go any time, any day!! There is just something really special about horses. They are hard not to love.
