Lord of the Dance

Was spectacular!! We both just loved it!! And M and I got chatting. And she said that although a big part of her does NOT want to move anywhere like Ireland, there is also a part of her that would really really like to. Then she named off all the reasons why and all the things she liked about being in Ireland. There were quite a few. I knew that she'd love it once she got there, but wasn't sure that she'd admit it before we left. Anyway, none of it may matter at all, but it was neat to talk with her about it.

Anyway, back to the show. Dancing, singing, more dancing. And there was a lot more theatre than I expected to see. It was a story in a way. And a very creative way of telling it. I am still undecided about whether or not I should have bought the program. It was $15. I am sure that is standard, but seems ridiculous to me. I already paid 65$ for the ticket! But, you couldn't take any pictures, which I'm sure wouldn't have turned out anyway. So, it'd be nice to have some kind of tangible memory. So, I thought maybe a CD. But that was $35, so needless to say we didn't get anything.

Except wildly entertained, a great thrill, and were totally marvelled at the costumes, choreography, the sync of the group and the speed with which they danced. There were some parts where you just couldn't even believe how fast they were dancing. It just seemed totally surreal. Of course, M loved it and recognized a few steps and was totally mesmerized. She even let out a few "woohoos" and clapped up a storm.

So, well worth the ticket prices and turned out to be a great gift. I'm trying to keep that in the forefront of my mind so that I don't have any regrets since Mark got 3 invtes from HP to go tonight and sit in the VIP box, for FREE!!! Oh well, maybe next time round :)

Awesome! Makes me wish I went but that's a pretty steep price. Athought that was the same with GNR and they were well worth it too! Hmmm...maybe I'll think again next time.
