Mary Frances Kettle

It certainly wasn't easy saying so long to Mary, and it just wasnt't the same without her. But, it was really great to connect with her family and friends and to celebrate her life. Thank you to those who really supported us and sent love and prayers. It really made a big difference.

We were busy with wake/funeral stuff from the 21st right up till Christmas Eve. We had some nice visits. Makayla wrote a beautiful poem for Mary that they read at the church, and Mark and I helped create a memory board to display for her.

We shared some drinks, some dances and laughs in her name. We also had a great carol session a couple of times with friends and family. So, I hope she looked down with a smile.

Mary had a great passion for life, and never ever once seemed old to me. I think she was truly young at heart. And by having the right attitude, the body just kept up with her mind. She was a true inspiration. I have never felt as strongly about "Life is too short". It really is.

It is too short not to take care of ourselves, not to have fun, and not to love as hard as we can. That's what I'm planning to do in 2007.
