ENT Update

We saw the ENT. Great seeming dr and guy .. who's in love with Superman, his office was like a shrine :)

He basically said that's life! Deylin is teething. And teething causes irritation of the ear and retention of fluid there. So, just wait it out. Nothing to be done at this stage. If he continues to have TRUE ear infections, then he'd look at tubes. If it comes to that, I'd like to explore alternatives first.

Although tubes is a routine and simple surgery, it is still surgery. And with that comes risks. And I don't like taking them unless absolutely necessary. So, we're just keeping an eye on things. We'll go back in December.

If D gets an infection between now and then, he said just to show up and wait and he'll see him and evaluate at that point.

So, was happy with getting that opinion and so quickly. Just gives a little peace of mind. And even though baby is still digging and tugging at ears (due to pressure likely) he seems to be in great spirits and is learning to dance. So funny!!
